This month, educators, practitioners, parents, stakeholders, and more gathered for our large group Community of Practice discussing how we can put our hopes, dreams, and skills into action to create the Allegheny County that We Choose to Be. The 2023-2024 school year has been filled with wonderful conversations across the county about social-emotional learning, development, and practices.
Utilizing the beautiful book The Me I Choose to Be by Natasha Tarpley, the group discussed our SEL Superpowers, reflecting on how we use our talents and skills to enhance SEL in our work. To follow, the group reflected on how we can encourage and grow superpowers in the children and families we serve.
