MindFEEL Minutes at Home Lesson 3: Mindful Breathing

Mindful breathing is when you pay close attention to your breath, like noticing the way it feels as it goes in and out of your body. This is important for both children and adults because it helps us calm down when we're feeling sad, excited, stressed, angry, or anxious. Taking slow, deep breaths signals our body to relax and can make us feel more peaceful and in control. It's a simple but powerful tool that we always have with us that can help us manage our emotions and feel more grounded.
