MindFEEL Minutes At Home Lesson 7: Mindful Sadness

Mindful sadness means noticing and understanding our sad feelings without ignoring them. It's important for children because it helps them recognize that it's okay to feel sad sometimes. When children are mindful of their sadness, they can learn to express their feelings in a healthy way and ask for help if they need it. Being sad might feel like you want to cry and look like having a frown on your face. By being aware of their sadness, children can learn to comfort themselves and understand that these feelings are a normal part of life. This helps them build resilience and emotional strength.
