We had a wonderful time at the 2024 American Education Research Association conference! Dr. Tracy Larson (our fearless director) and Dr. Karl Jancart (Post-Doctoral Researcher) presented along with other members of the Office of Child Development surrounding the topic "Multiple Perspectives on Building a County-Wide Ecosystem of Social and Emotional Learning and Racial Equity."
Tracy and Karl discussed "Developing a Network of Early Childhood Educators Practicing Social and Emotional Learning and Racial Equity" - which highlighted HealthyCHILD's decades-long partnerships with early childhood centers as well as how this work has been evolving to include building early childhood educators' skills in SEL and Racial Equity.
This opportunity was brought to the Office of Child Development through our partnership with the SEEKS Initiative out of the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. We are so excited to see the county become more connected, inclusive, and compassionate!
